DEVELOPMENTAL EDUCATOR

Jen has worked in the disability field for the past 17 years, primarily with children. Since completing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Disability and Community Rehabilitation in 2010, she has worked with children with a focus on developmental delays, including Autism Spectrum Disorder.

As a Developmental Educator, Jen works with children, families and schools to teach functional skills, increase independence, improve emotional regulation and develop the social thinking skills of her clients. Jen is passionate about working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental delays and their families, in order to improve their quality of life and sense of well-being. Jen is trained in undertaking functional behavioural assessments and implementing positive behaviour support plans.

When she became a parent to her own little tornadoes, she developed a far greater understanding of the underlying issues and the impact the right external support can make for families.

Jen is also part of our team of therapists who provide on line support to clients using Teletherapy services such as videoconferencing, phone calls, emails or other direct messages. As well, she is the senior practitioner of the In-School Intervention team, and regularly provides support to her clients in their natural social environments of school and home. She is highly valued for her practical advice to educators and schools about supporting the needs of children with disabilities.

For NDIS clients – Jen Badman’s services can be provided to Self Managed, Plan Managed and Agency Managed NDIS participants as a provider engaged by Jenni Pearce.
